Aunt Jemima, Mr. Potato Head, Land of Lakes, Nike, Dr. Seuss all have one thing in common : the cancel culture is their gravy train!
Looking into the future of art and design
I’m fortunate to have been associated with artists all throughout my life. From watching my children and their artistic endeavors, to seeing them take art and creative talents into their adult lives. There are some extraordinary talents in high schools these days! Take a peek.
The Death of Advertising
I’m chasing a story and getting lots of references for my research. Washington Post, blocked unless I subscribe. Wall Street Journal blocked unless I subscribe. We’ve come to the point now that web advertising is not working. I ran my web site for 30 years “ad free”. Why spam your customers? Are we witnessing the death of online advertising?
What makes ethernet better than WiFi?
Obviously, WiFi is great. It’s changed our lives, allowing for an unprecedented degree of flexibility with internet-enabled devices. Home WiFi is even good enough in large portions of the United States that people justifiably feel comfortable using it for everything, such as work, gaming, and streaming.
Web & Graphic Design student work review
The College of New Caledonia is showcasing their graphic design and web design students in a handsome website — go see what kind of talent they’re growing in Caldonia!
These students put together a “Portfolio Showcase” writing. . .
Our journey to create this showcase began in early January. During this time of planning and strategizing how to bring about a great year-end event, we became closer as a class and got to know one another better. Through the brainstorming process we were able to learn from and be inspired by one another.

A History of Motivational Posters
Sylvester Jalnaiz from Canva wrote in and asked me to replace one of my pages links with his. Sort of rude, but he’s an outreach officer for a site that has exploited the amateur graphic design market. But then when attempting to get access to the site, it asked me to sign in using GOOGLE. OH NO!!! Big RED flag! Never, ever sign in to a web site using any other web site ID/Password! Bad, bad karma! (more…)
Requiem for Snapz… thank you Firefox!
Do you remember Snapz Pro? That wonderful screen utility for the Mac that would capture anything? Well, it died with El Capitan and OS Sierra! My favorite feature, screen section to clip board, is saved by Firefox! Thank you Firefox!
