All this noise and drama over destruction of statues. Can you believe people are actually spending their time and money on such a circumstance, when there are homeless, hungry, sick and displaced in your community? Can you believe that YOUR elected officials are pandering to a relatively slight segment of the community? Can you believe they’ll throw your tax dollars at such a charade without your permission?
Everyone needs to remember that a community is judged by the way they care for their people . . . you don’t get to piss away tax dollars on frivolous things like taking down statues until all your homeless are housed, your hungry are fed, your children educated, your streets and public areas spotless, and your sick are treated.
